NREP to obtain the loan from M3 Capital Partners

Nordic asset manager NREP has agreed to take over the lending business of global investment and advisory firm M3 Capital Partners to bring its business in Germany to life, a spokeswoman said on Thursday.

In the deal, NREP first acquires a 49% minority stake in the asset management business, a spokeswoman said. The remaining stake will be acquired until early 2024, he said.

NREP’s assets under control will accumulate up to 14 billion euros ($15. 8 billion) with the addition of the 1 billion euros in M3 assets.

The M3 real estate budget invests in mezzanine loans and full loans for genuine real estate assets with blue rate in Germany’s largest cities. The company’s new methods to be introduced in 2022 will focus on green and sustainable lending.

“This transaction marks a vital milestone for NREP in our ongoing efforts to resolve demanding urban ecosystem situations across geographies,” Claus Mathisen, CEO of NREP, said in a press release Thursday. “Following our access to Poland, this new expansion in Germany, with answers on green finance, reinforces our non-Nordic presence while bringing together our aspirations to offer clients exposure to a varied diversity of genuine real estate investment products. “

M3 Capital Partners has $14. 2 billion in asset management, according to its website.
